Passion. Drive. Intensity. Those three words embody entrepreneur Terry LaCore – in business, in life, within his community and in each new venture that he tackles. In a day and age where so many seem to believe that a person must choose between a successful business life or a successful personal life, Terry LaCore proves that a healthy balance can be had in both.
As a father to four young children – Cohen Legend (7), Courtland Lightning (5), Chandler Lively (4) and Chloe Love (1) – Terry and his wife Jennifer have a full schedule! Terry can often be found coaching his son’s basketball, football and baseball teams; cheering on his daughter at her dance recitals; and in the middle of all the fun at family celebrations and birthday parties. As avid Dallas Cowboys fans, the LaCore family looks forward to game days in Arlington during the fall with friends and family. Every member of the LaCore family has a passport book that quickly collects stamps from around the world on their many travels. Even when business calls Terry to Asia, Australia or Europe, many times it’s the entire family that attends. Having worked hard and traveling 12 months out of the year in his early career, Terry can now enjoy creating memories with each of his children and his wife, no matter where his adventures may lead him.
At his “home base” of Melissa, Texas Terry gives back to numerous charities and schools. As the son of school teachers, Terry has never failed to acknowledge the importance of an excellent education – both to the students as well as to a thriving community. Terry and Jennifer enthusiastically support scholarships for graduating seniors, school fundraisers as well as Young Life and the Melissa Education Foundation.
Terry’s passion extends to his city involvement, where he was appointed by the City Council to the Economic Development Board. His relentless drive to see the city of Melissa become a premier city and place to call home, is the reason he devotes his time and his resources so generously.
While it would be easy to define Terry LaCore’s success by only his business accomplishments as an Entrepreneur, it is when you look at the person Terry is, and where he spends his time and his energy, that you see that Terry is a man that will settle for nothing less than the best in life. A life filled with passion. A life driven by love of family and community. And a life lived with intensity…both in, and out of, the boardroom.
